Naomi graduated from La Trobe University, Melbourne with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 1996 and has 18 years experience working as a physiotherapist in both Australia and the United Kingdom. She has a strong interest in treating all sports injuries, especially those relating to the knee, as well as back and neck injuries. Having completed pilates certification with APPI and additional training with Polestar, Stott and DMA Clinical Pilates, Naomi has worked for 10 years as a pilates practitioner, combining her skills as a physiotherapist with core training and rehabilitation. Naomi is also a keen runner, having competed at state and national levels before progressing to distance running. She has completed the Dublin marathon, several half marathons and local fun runs.

Ni'ia graduated from Otago University, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2007 and has since worked in private practice in New Zealand, Australia and London

Her diverse career and completion of further qualifications and training in Manual therapy, Exercise Prescription, Clinical Pilates and Dry needling have equipped her with a large knowledge base and expert skill set for treating all types of injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. 

Completing further courses regarding running analysis and lower limb tendinopathy has continued to grow her interest and passion in treating running based injuries and optimising running biomechanics. 

Ni'ia aims to provide a complete and thorough approach to treatment, whether she is treating runners with knee injuries, desk based workers suffering from a sore back or neck, or those that need pre or post operative rehabilitation.

Ni'ia is an accomplished runner who has competed at New Zealand national level and regularly competes in middle distance running in Victoria.

Kate Dyball

Kate completed her Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2014 following the completion of her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2009 (with hons).

Kate has worked in private practice since 2010 with a special interest in treating runners and rowers. She has completed many courses to further her knowledge and experience including DMA Clinical Pilates Levels 1 – 4, Dry Needling, Optimising Biomechanics in Running and Cycling, Lower Limb Tendinopathy and Prevention of Running Injuries.

Kate’s clinical approach is to develop a strong client therapist relationship that focuses on ongoing education and commitment to achieving client goals. She believes in sharing knowledge with clients that they can proactively use to improve their training approach and help prevent injury.

In her personal time Kate enjoys rowing, running, drinking a good coffee and travelling. Kate is a keen runner, completing seven Melbourne Marathons and an Ironman Triathlon.

Fiona Samuel

Fiona has completed her Masters of Physiotherapy and Masters of Manual Therapy and has 7 years experience working in private practice and instructing Clinical Pilates.

In addition to these qualifications, Fiona has attended and completed a number of courses including Dry Needling (Level 1 & 2), Treatment of the Lumbar Spine and Pelvis (Level 1 & 2) and Mulligan Upper Quadrant. She is a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor, completing APPI Matwork Pilates (Levels 1-3) and Equipment (Levels 1-4). Fiona has also been presenting and instructing APPI Clinical Pilates courses since 2012.

Fiona strongly believes in the benefits of Clinical Pilates for injury prevention and rehabilitation and enjoys treating pre and post-natal women. To ensure clients are actively involved in their rehabilitation, she uses education and goal setting as a key part of her treatment approach.

Fiona has a passion for keeping fit through rowing (competing at the National University Games in 2003, 2004 and 2005), netball, running, swimming and of course Clinical Pilates.


Natasha Chung Yew

Myotherapist

Natasha has completed her Certificate IV in Massage Therapy, Diploma of Remedial Massage and Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy. Broadening her area of expertise, she has also completed Dry Needling and Lymphatic Drainage courses.

Natasha brings to Flex her extensive experience in Myotherapy, Remedial Massage, Dry Needling, Deep Tissue Massage, Relaxation Massage and Pre/Postnatal Massage. She also has a special interest in treating Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorder.

Natasha loves being outdoors and is a keen runner, completing the Melbourne Half Marathon in 2012 and 2013.

Colleen West

Colleen West

Colleen joins the Flex team from Perth, W.A. Colleen has a keen interest in sport and was a sports trainer in the West Australian Football League in 2014, moving into Rugby WA’s Pindan Premier League in 2015. Colleen has volunteered in training firefighters and working with children with special needs in exercise physiology throughout her degree in Exercise and Sports Science.

Colleen worked previously in real estate, establishing and running her own business in Perth, and in doing so developed managerial skills and extensive experience in customer service. Colleen manages all aspects of front desk, clinic administration, and client experience. She loves to run, enjoys yoga and training in the gym.

Emma Reardon

Emma Reardon

Emma joined the Flex team in January 2017. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Science degree at University of Melbourne with a focus on health sciences, hoping to continue on to an allied health post-graduate degree.

Emma has previously worked in customer service and health education as a Team Leader at Community Health Advancement and Student Engagement.

She is passionate about community health and health education, previously volunteering for many organisations such as Nganagganawili Aboriginal Health Service, Home of Hope Orphanage in Cambodia and Deaf Children Australia.

Emma is a keen runner and swimmer and was previously a marathon Kayaker. She plays basketball socially and is also fluent in Auslan (Australian Sign Language).

Emma will be at reception to help arrange appointments as well as answer any questions or queries you may have.
