We love to run. We know you do too. We also love Pilates and now we’re combining our two loves to bring you a Pilates class specifically for runners.
We will feature great tunes, running specific strength and mobility Reformer based exercises, and promise to make you work hard. You can book via our website or call the clinic on 9670 7041 to reserve your spot – places are limited to just six clients each session.
Each Friday we will feature a different instructor, bringing you a variety of challenges to help make you the best runner you can be. Please read through the details below for further information and please do book in – we’d love to see you there.
Date and time: Every Friday at 12pm
Duration: 50 minutes
Claimable on your private health insurance if you have extras that cover groups sessions (code 561).
Level: Intermediate – Advanced, but we can easily accommodate those who have less experience or may be recovering from injury. Some pilates experience and familiarity with the equipment is required – if you are an absolute beginner we recommend you come and do a one on one session first and a couple of small group classes before you book into our runner’s classes.
What to wear, what to bring: Stretchy clothes, lycra is optional. No shoes required but we do ask that you wear socks. Pilates grip socks in a variety of cool designs are available to purchase from the clinic. A water bottle and small towel are also a good idea. We have change rooms on site but recommend you come ready to work out to save on time. You will work hard but we don’t anticipate you’ll be too sweaty to return to work. On site showers are not available.
What to expect: A challenging class that targets the muscle groups we utilise as runners. Expect to work your core, your glutes, hamstrings and adductors, improve your thoracic mobility and arm drive. Gain strength, improve power and feel more connected to your whole body.
Can I still book in even if I don’t run? Of course, we’d love to welcome you. We do however take no responsibility if you happen to develop a love of running after experiencing our classes.
